How does the Attorney verification work?

LAWCLERK™ - Where Attorneys Go To Hire Freelance Lawyers

To protect the integrity of the site, LAWCLERK must verify your identity and that you are a barred attorney in good standing.  As such, during registration, you will need to provide:

  1. A picture of your face next to your driver’s license or other valid government ID. This can be accomplished by taking a “selfie” and uploading it or by using your computer camera to take the picture.  Please make sure that both your ID and your face are clearly visible in the picture. You may need to hold your ID closer to the camera to ensure that your picture and name on your ID are clearly visible.  This picture will only be used to verify your identity. It will not be your profile picture and will not be used for any other purpose.
  2. The states within which you are barred and your bar numbers.
