What does the Clio integration actually sync?
Four things, in both directions where it makes sense: the project deadline onto your Clio calendar, a task on the associated matter, the freelance attorney's hours onto the matter for your review and billing, and every document or submission into your designated Clio matter folder.
Do I need a Clio account to use LAWCLERK?
No. LAWCLERK works on its own for any firm. The integration is what makes it worth using if Clio is already where you run your matters, because it removes the copying between the two.
Are your freelance attorneys U.S. attorneys?
Yes. Every attorney on LAWCLERK is a licensed U.S. attorney who has cleared bar admission and good-standing checks before a profile is ever visible. They come from all 50 states, from 20-year specialists to newer attorneys taking research work.
What does it cost?
You pay the flat fee you set, and only once you have selected an attorney to work with. There are no sign-up fees and no membership fees. Typical project prices run from $150 for a simple discovery response to $1,250 for a motion to dismiss.
