Built by lawyers, for lawyers

LAWCLERK was founded in 2018 by practicing attorneys who kept seeing the same problem from both sides. Firms were turning away good work or drowning in overflow, while skilled attorneys wanted meaningful legal work without the overhead of building their own client base.

So we built a two-sided marketplace to close that gap. Law firms post the work they need done and bring on verified, U.S.-based freelance attorneys on demand. Attorneys pick up hourly and project work that fits their expertise and their schedule, so everyone can stay focused on the practice of law instead of the cost of staffing it.

A few things have not changed since day one. LAWCLERK is run by attorneys, every attorney on the platform is verified, and the whole marketplace is built to be ethics-compliant in all 50 states. LAWCLERK is a marketplace, not a law firm, and does not provide legal services.
