The Las Vegas office is in immediate need of an Associate Attorney with 3 to 5 years of experience. We offer meaningful courtroom and deposition experience; direct mentorship from experienced trial attorneys; a supportive, team-driven environment; early substantive responsibility; competitive compensation and benefits, KEY JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Attorney must demonstrate exceptional knowledge and expertise in all phases of litigation from pleadings through trial. Attorney must be a team player and self-starter. An interest in defense of professional negligence cases and jury trials is a must. The position is full time with remote flexibility. • Draft pleadings and motions, oppositions to motions • Prepare, review and evaluate discovery. • Attend court appearances, argue motions, Conduct and attend depositions. (fact witnesses, parties and experts). • Maintain direct communication with clients, experts, opposing counsel and claims personnel. Participate in case strategy discussions and trial preparation • Perform legal research. • Work closely with medical and technical experts. • Evaluate and summarize medical records. • Prepare necessary reporting and correspondence. • Work as an integral part of the trial team and assist with trial preparation.including exhibit organization, witness preparation, and courtroom presentation • Attend mediations. • Attend trials with opportunities for second chair. • Opportunities to assist in defense of licensing board matters. • Become a valued member of a collegial team of professionals. QUALIFICATIONS • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. • Admission to Nevada Bar. California admission is plus. • 3 to 5 years of civil litigation experience, medical malpractice or insurance defense preferred. Compensation is competitive based on experience. A genuine desire to appear in court, argue motions, take depositions, and eventually serve as first or second-chair at trial is essential
